There's nothing that can make you go from extreme sadness to terror that there's a zombie invasion like opening your newborn baby's coffin and realizing he's still alive.
The bizarre story started when an infant in Asuncion, Paraguay, was pronounced dead. Born 16 weeks premature, he didn't appear to be breathing and doctors could not detect a heartbeat. His body was put in a cardboard box as a makeshift coffin so the family could take him home and prepare for a wake.
When one member of the family picked the baby up, he started crying, freaking everybody out and warranting a trip back to the hospital, where he is now in stable condition in an incubator.
Update: The BBC reported that the baby, whom the family named Angel, died on August 10.
